Heres a letter sent to mum from your mum Barb...Inviting her to your house....I expect thats when you met her!  These are the Volunteer nomination forms written by Scott Wilson (who is now CAO for Waterloo Region) Lovely words and dad deserved every one of them!      CHristmas 1974 Mum Me Dad Jerry Thalia and little cutesie Wendy I had bought dad a 'joke' box for Xmas and I used one on him... It was a palm squeezie with a tube and a little flat pad that went under his plate and kep making it move...lol Remember that Ed? (Ed took the pic)  Anne and Dad outside her house on Douglas Rd opposite Mum and dad Going by the clothes..lol was probably early 70's  Cooronation Party at the Conservative Club Derby Rd 1953 Mum looks happy...I don't...! Is that Mr Morre our neighbour in the background?  Is this Alexander and Dad?  Heres our yearly trip to the Mayor where he would give dad his birthday cetificate... I have a better original than this photocopy. Dad was so chuffed to be wearing the Mayors Chain of Office but he was really concerned he would get into trouble...Not sure who he thought with! This pic makes me cringe...It was 1992...The kids were 5 and 6...They found some 'sand' in his office and were playing with it... It was a sand 'picture with coloured sand and they wrecked it but I didn't find out til after we left... I got a parking ticket cos I hadnt renewed dads 'Disabled' parking sign but I didnt want to contact the mayor after that so I paid it! lol  Dad's Birth Certificate   This is a pic of Harriet May...She died in India...Malaria I think...Mum never got over losing her...she was 14 at the time...I became the 'reincarnation' in a way and then I had Tam and I lost my status! Harriet died on April 18th 1928 and My fist, Jamie died on April 18th 1984 My grandfather William Wallis died around the same date but in 1918  Not a god copy of pic but this is what the Stone says.... In Loving Memory Of Our Little darling Harriet May Only child of Sgt and Mrs Dudley Born Jan 29th 1927 Died April 18th 1928 Hush fond parents cease your weeping 'Tis your heavenly fathers will Our little girl is only sleeping For Harriet lives and loves you still    It was only when I found Mum and Dads Marriage Certificate that I realised who I was named after. I didn't realise they were married in St Mary's church and were married by Father Penn...He was still around when I was at school more than 15 years later!  Is this dads application for Merchant Seaman?  Dad in uniform...Which uniform is it and what year?   |
