Hi Lizzy - yes, I recognise you - I would know you anywhere lol!!!! Oh so long ago - how time flies! And here we are with children of our own (and grandchildren in my case) - are they as innocent as we were do you think? And we thought we were so sophisticated!!!

Soooo good to have the chance to catch up with you again and absolutely wonderful to speak to you on the phone - accent aside, you sound exactly the same! I can hardly believe it.

Speak soon

Jakki

I have an accent!!?????

What I found great was that all the stories I have told over the years are 'as they happened' and without exaggeration...I know sometimes over the years the stories tend to change but you assured me they were as they happened.

One of our little memories was that we use to 'sing' at all our friends EVERY lunchtime...They used to sit on the wall and watch us patiently...

How on earth did they put up with us?

Then there was the end of year 'Talent Show'...and hour and half of talent.....well...30 mins of talent and when they were all done WE filled in the remaining hour!

'Bachelor Boy'

and 'Peppermint Twist'

I remember but I'm sure we went through our LONG repertoir inclusing 'Gonna Get long Without You Now'

and 'You Don't Have to Be  a Bayayyyayyyby to cry!..lol

Heres the Felvus Hall....Our first (and last) 'Gig'!

I remember our holidays...wasn't it near Dover or somewhere? Camping....I still rember jim Reeves dying while we were there..I have a pic somewhere.

You were a great friend Jakki  and our group 'the Blackbirds' (Navy blue polo sweaters and black trousers) may have made it except I moved to portsmouth and we lost touch..(except for a visit when i was in UK in 1976)

Ohhhh and Dave Clark (I've done a thread about hi on here somewhere..Recognise any of our friends on here?

That was the most exciting time....

We were lucky to be 13 at the time the music changed...with the Beatles etc.

I lived down the road to Barry Wilson of the Paramounts (became Procol Harem)

..You helped write 'Have I the Right' by the Honeycombs (and someone stole it)

..and Spencer Davis (Stevie Winwood) was the local band.

For 13year olds we had a great time considering...Actually its unbelievable to think of how 'social' we were back then.

I have sent a message to Pat Viner...She was dating a bloke that was 21 (Teddy Sheshleman)and 'fancied' Ed...It was funny when she came over and tried to chat him up.

Platinum blonde bombshell...Wonder how she's getting on?

I started smoking (Nelson) when I went to visit her in August 1963....

I remember we were over at the park one night and got locked in....Had to climb the fence to get out! (Not easy in stilettos! lol)

Wonder what all the other girls are up to...we are all 60 ish now...geez...hard to imagine....
