Date Posted:03/09/2009 23:21 PMCopy HTML Jimmy died in 1998, but Marie is still "going strong" at almost 92 (in May) - in fact she was golfing almost every day a few years ago and went on a cruise with my folks - also a few years ago. Sharky died several years ago. Joan died of cancer in 1984 and we never had much contact with my uncle Tony (you have a good memory) or Rosemarie and Richard for that matter. :-( Their big place in the Catskills was wonderful - I seem to think Richard may have gone to live there, but Im not certain.
So now that we know you do travel, WHEN are you coming to Vermont - we have a pretty large house, lots of land (pretty rural area) We would love to have you visit!
And Elizabeth!!! If you dont stop jumping on the bed - all you will get is emails from eveyone else saying how wonderful the attachments are!!!!
Did you get Alex' email with fewer attachments? YES! (Still waiting for the rest!) Could you open the PDF? (I'm OK with pdf...its only WORD I dont have) If so I will send Edwards other word document with your dads seaman papers that way. SMASHING! THANKS! Barb Alex,
I havent downloaded everything yet - my ISP wont download messages with large or many attachments but I can do them one at a time. What wonderful documents - especially your mothers family notes!! She had all the info on the families inclucing her mother's family!! So...........you are Scots on Alexander's side and Irish on Sarah (Wallis) side......... ;-) Look forward to reading it more closely. what an awful story of Alexander's "end"!!
I can eliminate the date as long as the pic has the frame included Alex - at the risk of seeming terribly ungrateful - could you take another photo of the painting of Lilly (image 4257) - from a little farther away so it includes the entire frame and if possible without the date stamp from the camera. I would love to print a large copy of it - it is lovely. I'm sure it will be clear enough even taken a little farther away. My grandmother's (Rose Taylor) memoirs say (then there was a diptheria epidemic, two of my sisters died. Your mothers
Attached a photo of my Aunt Marie (Shoosmith) and her husband Jimmy Kilcoyne (now deceased), since you included a 1973 letter from her.....
Liz, let me know if you were able to view the pdf (PDF is fine thanks) - thats the easiest way to get "word" documents to you.
(by the way, semi-colon between names works the same as a comma - its what my email program puts in automatically)(I think there was a space...that may have prevented it getting to me
I would guess Alex' email to you bounced because of size limitations (same as my server not downloading to my computer) THANK YOU AGAIN, Alex. Barb |
